(Winner Announced) If You Were in Europe, Where Would You Go?

I asked you all last month that if you could go anywhere in Europe where would it be. Now I know that many of you are ardent travelers or travelers who have a slightly different view on things, so it came as no surprise to me that many of you shunned the big hitting destinations in Europe and instead went for some of the more quirky, off the beaten track locations where you would like to go during your time.

First of all I want to say an enormous thank you to all of you who contributed towards this competition, you have no idea how much I love it when you all take the time to get in touch and to share your thoughts on travel and various other experiences, it means so much to me and it is what inspired me to keep on writing and keep on sharing.

Right then without further ado let’s take a look at the top ten, before announcing the winner at the bottom.

  • Talinn – Estonia
  • Reykjavik – Iceland
  • Edinburgh – Scotland, UK
  • Istanbul – Turkey
  • Krakow – Poland
  • Cinque Terra – Italy
  • Budapest – Hungary
  • Cornwall – England, UK
  • Lisbon – Portugal

And finally it is time for the winner. I have to say that the list above looks like a pretty great one for anyone who is looking to tour Europe, and it encompasses just about everything that I enjoy about this content, from sunshine breaks to dramatic natural landscapes, city fun to gorgeous coastal regions, there can however, only be one winner.

And so without further ado the majority of you said that if there was one place in Europe that you would like to visit it would be:

  • Paris

That’s right, as I mentioned the list above does pack in some slightly off  the beaten track places but there are some cities on Earth which just never lose their charm and although I have had the great pleasure of visiting Paris on two occasions, I would also go back in a heartbeat, such is my fondest and my affection for the French capital.

Paris offers something truly unique, natural beauty, a palatable air of elegance and grace, not to mention the amazing and stylish inhabitants of one of my favorite cities in the world.

I sincerely hope that any of you reading this who put Paris as their answer and haven’t yet been, can find the time to make a trip to this glorious capital city because I know that just like me, you will not be disappointed for a second.

Once again a huge thank you to every single one of you who contributed, now, tell me which ones that featured on the list have you been to, which would you like to go to and if you could pick a winner from the list, which would it be?
