We have spent on and off 8 months in Thailand and I can relate to the "peering-in" and "distance" sensations. While I love the traveling lifestyle, this feeling you refer to, is one of the things I struggle with. I always imagine that successful travel bloggers have a little world with other successful travel bloggers that they get a sense of community from that I hope to discover. Haha. Living this lifestyle makes it so much more difficult (for me at least) to create and maintain meaningful and long-term friendship because you are always moving.
