I’m super excited to announce that I will be the judge again this year for the color “white” in the Capture the Color Photo Contest. Last year there were over 3,000 entries with a really high level of quality — I loved looking through the pinterest boards with all the submissions, it was inspiring and a little bit humbling (see my post: 50 Shades of White — some of my favorites from last year’s “white” color category).  To enter is simple, you write a post with your five best photos from these color categories: RED, BLUE, GREEN, YELLOW and WHITE. Be sure to nominate five other bloggers and tweet it with the hashtag #CTC13.

There will be a winner from each color category who will get: an 128GB iPad, a Fuji camera or £750 worth of Arc’teryx clothing and equipment (you choose).

Then from the five winners, an overall winner will be chosen to win: £3,000 travel fund (worth about $4633 USD). That’s like, what? Six months on the beach in Thailand? Four months in Mexico? Two months in Greece? A really, really great weekend in NYC? I’m sure you’ll figure it out.

For the full contest rules go here.

To follow the entries watch the contest’s pinterest boards.

Or follow the Facebook page.

What I’m looking for: it can be anything, travel street photography, a snap of a great dish, landscapes and cityscapes, people, animals, scenery, a breathtaking view, the candid moment on vacation — just tell a story, leave us wanting more, and be clean, crisp and not-too-processed. Well that’s what I like anyway. Don’t forget, there are four other judges, so check out their posts too.

Here are some examples from my travel photography:

GREEN – Holi Festival, India

WHITE – Burning Man, USA

RED – Hibsicus Tea, Mexico

YELLOW – Sunday Night Market, Thailand

BLUE – The Malecon in Puerto Vallarta, Mexico

I am nominating these five bloggers to start:
