New Ebook Announcement (Plus Free Stuff)
I realized this morning that’s it’s been a while since I gave something away on this blog, so I set out to fix that. For the next few days or so (or longer, who knows!) I’m giving away copies of 30 Ways in 30 Days to Redesign Your Life and Travel the World and Twitter to Travelers. The only catch is that you have to be subscribed to my monthly newsletter, which you can do right here:

The second thing is that I’m ready to announce that I’m releasing a brand spanking new, completely awesome ebook called, The Visa Book. It’s basically a reference book that makes your life a lot easier if you travel frequently or if you’re planning a big trip. I used it last night (no lie) when I was trying to arrange my travel schedule for this spring (Kirsty from NerdyNomad and Lara from GranTourismo can attest to my planning frenzy) and here’s my dilemma:
I am in India, I want to go on this following itinerary:
- Dubai
- Jordan
- Barcelona
- Rwanda
- South Africa
- Nepal
Do I need visas? Do I need a yellow fever shot? Is there a waiting period? Quick, I’ve got three windows open looking at flights and BOOM, a schedule change: maybe I’ll go to Rwanda first, but then that changes what countries I’ll visit. I’m constantly looking up visa rules, checking to see if things are part of the Schengen zone in Europe, making sure I don’t have any strange short term rules (like only two week visas if you pay at the airport verses four weeks at the embassy) or vaccine requirements.
The visa book makes it really easy: all the rules, one place with links to the source (Dept of State and the country’s embassy website) so you can confirm any and all information in a click.
It’s like the Physician’s Desk Reference but for Visa rules. It comes out on April 5th. It’s big, over 200 pages. It’s a pdf, instant download, priced at a cool $10. If you’re a blogger, you can get a review copy by emailing here.
Sorry, at the moment it is only for US Passport holders only.
