New Ebook: 30 Ways in 30 Days to Redesign Your Life and Travel the World

I wrote this series in Sept/Oct of this year and when I finished I realized something.  I had written a small book– over 30,000 words, or about 150 pages in pdf format.  That’s a lot of blog to read.  So to make things easier, I put those posts together into an ebook, that you can read at your leisure, forward to friends or print out.

The price?

Free.  For now.  After January 10th, that might change.  (So get it while you can!)

How to get it?

It’s for subscribers only.  You know, folks who read this site regularly.  So that means you’ll have to be signed up via the RSS or the email.  Then, there’s a part two.  At the bottom of every post, you’ll see the icon for this ebook.  Click on it.  It’ll take you to the download page, where you’ll enter the email address where you want it sent.  I don’t sell or share your email, ever.

  1. Thanks for coming up with this! Gonna go check my Google Reader for it. :)

  2. Hello :) I signed up via RSS but I am not sure how to download this book, what is the icon like? :(

  3. Thanks for this. It is a really useful guide to give to friends who always say “I’d love to do what you do and travel but….” and have no idea where to start. There is always some reason why they can’t do it, but this guide shows them how they can.

  5. Ditto Jackie’s comment. I’m a subscriber but when I click the link in Google Reader, I get the page that asks for my name and email. When I enter it, I get the error that I’ve already subscribed.

I wanna read it ’cause the Twitter ebook was awesome (who knew Twitter did all that!?).

  6. Jackie, Rich,

Anyone who downloaded an ebook before automatically got an email this morning with the link. The subject read: “Free copy of the latest Ebook from Almostfearless.com” Check your spam filter and make sure my email christine.gilbert@gmail.com isn’t being caught in there.

Also I’ll resend it to both of you, but in case anyone else has the same issue, check your filters!

  7. Hi! I just signed up as well, so cant see the link to download the ebook. Ive checked my spam filter but there is nothing there. Any chance you could resend it to me?

    Thanks!

  14. Having the same problems as Kelly. I use google reader and cannot get to link to download your newest. BTW, I really enjoyed your Twitter ebook!

  15. Hi Les,

It should work in google reader (I just checked it). Look on the bottom of any post from my site and the last thing you’ll see is this:

“Download your free copy of 30 Ways in 30 Days to Redesign Your Life and Travel the World HERE! It’s a 155 page ebook filled with answers to all of your lifestyle redesign questions. It’s free only for Almostfearless.com subscribers for a limited time. (That’s you.) Thanks! ”

But that being said, you downloaded the Twitter for Travelers Ebook… did you not get an email from me with the link automatically? I’ll resend that.

    Thanks!

  16. Please add an instruction in your blog/rss post for existing email subscribers. That will prevent confusion.

Something like: “If you’re already an email subscriber, check your inbox. I sent you an email today with the download link.”

  17. Great idea Christine! I’ve just got your free e-book “30 Ways in 30 Days to redesign your life and travel the world”… quite a long name… :) But your stories didn’t quite long enough, 150 pages just not enough! I WANT TO READ MORE FROM YOU!! :)

  18. Hi Christine,

I apologize for my less than stellar knowledge of things tech…..when I subscribed, I clicked the orange RSS thing and then chose “view feed XML”. Does this answer the question?

  19. Bill–

I figured out a better solution, if you have already subscribed, instead of forwarding you to the page say, “oops you’re already subscribed” it takes you to the PDF. So subscribers can download over and over and over again.

Woo hoo! I think we’re getting there.

Also we’ve had a few hundred downloads so far with no issues, so if you’re reading this and wondering if it works– it does. At these volumes though, there’s always a handful of snags or questions.

  20. Jessica- emailing you privately. We’ll get you sorted. :)

  21. Great package, Christine. It’s great. I enjoyed the posts in their original format — but it’s great that you packaged it up like this. Thanks!

  27. Hi– Much like everyone else, I can’t seem to locate your e-book. I’ve checked my spam folders with no luck. Thanks for your help!

  28. Kami-

What steps have you taken? Are you subscribed? If so, by RSS or email? Did you click on the link on the bottom of each post? Did you enter your email for the download?

    Thanks!

  33. Hi,
I have been following you for a while now and really appreciate your advice. I was hoping to be able to read more into your insights. However I, like a few others, haven’t been able to find the link to the 30 Ways ebook. I have followed the links provided in both your emails and RSS feeds, which lead to a webpage that doesn’t appear to have a download link. Any help you can provide is greatly appreciated. Thank you.

    Wil

  34. Hi Christine,
thanks for your ebook. I’m quite new to this site but it looks way interesting.
For all the people who can’t download the ebook, I had the same problem using Mozilla Firefox (mail request not appearing). I then tried with Google Chrome and it worked nicely.
    Hope this helps!
