Goodbye, Corporate Job
And with an unceremonious surrendering of my corporate credit card, laptop and badge, I am no longer employed. Today was my last day, and unlike the clip below* from Office Space, it did not include the destruction of any office equipment.
*Caution: clip has some strong language.
Taking the weekend to recharge, but I will be back on Monday with a decidedly open schedule.
PS: Making a blogroll this weekend, post your site in the comments if you want to be included.

Ahh thats awesome! Even though I have a relatively awesome 9-5 I still dream of the day Im out and traveling long-term and living on my on own terms. And dont forget to post your travel tales on my site!

Congrats Christine…revel in the freedom!
Yeah!!! Congratulations. You’ve inspired me with your post about getting rid of stuff, among other things. We aren’t moving to another country, but we do plan to move to the city… a smaller, cheaper place, a different lifestyle, and more money to travel. Its hard to let go of the idea that stuff and a big house and garden equal happiness. I will miss my garden. But downsizing is so exhilarating!
…And maybe one day we’ll be brave enough to leave it all behind to live somewhere else.
Good luck to you with all the transitions. So awesome!
